This session will be devoted to exploring the ways in which theories of female psychology have been developed in the
context of Freud¡¯s initial formulations. One of the questions we will have to ask ourselves is in what way shifts that we see
mark not only changes in the views of women but also changing assumptions about human nature more broadly.
